I’m taking part in the 2024 E17 Art Trail.
150 locations, 4800 exhibitors, 250 events and exhibitions! Now in its 20th year.
Pound a Portrait is back. It’s been ten years since the documentary film project with film maker Guy King. I will be opening the portrait studio again, this time taking film photographs of people with my vintage cameras. Sign up to have your portrait taken for £1 and hear more about how to develop your own black and white film.
Plus, see an exhibition of the latest photographic work from the streets and forests of Walthamstow using analogue cameras. Prints and Zines available to buy.
Open: 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th & 16th June.
Sat & Sun 11am – 4pm
I’m Venue No. 143 and more details can be found in the Bloomberg Connects App or the Art Trail map.
To book your portrait time slot please use the form below to select a date & time.
(Depending on the number of visitors I may be able to operate a first come first serve)
The Small Print
I plan to exposure one frame – this could be on medium, large or 35mm format black and white negative film. This I will develop and scan and share with you as a digital file for your personal use. If you are interested in using the image for commercial use, not a problem lets have a chat about its usage and go from there. I will share your image as part of the ‘Pound a Portrait’ project and promotion of my own photography services and marketing.
Film photography, especially with older equipment, is not without its risks. Malfunctions happen and though it rarely happens, mistakes can be made along the way, from accidentally exposing the sheets to light, through to development errors with the chemicals that can mean images are damaged. So, just a heads up that this is an experimental session, but I’m pretty sure we’ll come away with a fun memorable portrait.
The E17 Art Trail is an artist-led, community-powered arts festival that gives the opportunity for artists and makers of all ages and abilities to exhibit and promote their work, connect with other creatives and be part of their local neighbourhood.
